- The Akwa Ibom government has launched an e-receipt system
for the collection of internal revenue.
- Gov Udom Emmanuel who flagged off the programme at Le
Meridien recently noted that this collection system will help government redeem
its promises to the people.
- He pointed out that funds will no more be lost through
leakages and the system will hence be more transparent.
- The commissioner for finance, Mr Akan Okon, noted that this
initiative was introduced due to the fall in federal revenue allocated to the
state.
