ATTORNEY GENERAL CONDEMNS ATTACK ON THE JUDICIARY

-The Akwa Ibom State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Uwemedimo Nwoko condemns the recent attacks on the judiciary especially by lawyers in the state.

- He condemned the attack on the Supreme Court’s decision on the Akwa Ibom mandate and the criticisms levelled against Justice John Inyan Okoro; the only Akwa Ibom son to sit on the Supreme Court bench.

- He made this known when members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Uyo branch; paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

- He called on lawyers to be responsible when making comments in the press, and promised that a customary court of appeal is under way.
