CDC SEEKS COMPASSION FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

-          The founder and Executive Director, Children Development Centre (CDC), Surulere, Lagos, Dr. Yinka Akindayomi, has calls for compassion on children with special needs.

-          Akindayomi made the appeal at a briefing as part of the activities to commemorate the organization’s 20th anniversary tagged, ‘Compassion, Connection: Why Your Communities Should Care’.
-          She said that the campaigns to increase visibility and inclusion of children and adults with disabilities into the mainstream policies for the country would have no effect if the society did not empathize with them.
-      According to her, the centre will support both children and young adults with developmental disabilities to build their self- esteem and skills.
