CROSS RIVER TO STREAMLINE STATE ACCOUNT

-  The cross River state govt. is planning to run a ministerial single Account (MSA).

-  According to the state’s Accountant General, Mr. Joseph Adie, the single account will help check revenue leakages in the government.
-  Says the MSA will mirror the Treasury Single Account (TSA) employed by the federal govt.
-  Dr Ukam Edodi, Chairman of Cross River’s internal Revenue Service (IRS) hinted that in 2015, internally generated revenue in the state fell by N2.6 billion.
