Suspected cultists invaded Uko Eshiet’s Street on
Friday evening, leaving three people seriously injured.

One of the victims, Mr. Bassey Monday, a petty
trader, who was said to have attempted to struggle with them in self defense,
incurred serious wounds.

The operation lasted for about thirty minutes,
until they made their way into the nearby bush track, through Ikot Udoro road.

A resident within the street and eye witness,
Mr. Emmanuel Akan appealed to state government to provide strong security for
people in the area and in other parts of Uyo.
