The
Federal Government has warned all telecom operators in Nigeria, to end all
unauthorized charges to consumers, or face sanctions.

Communications Minister, Mr. Adebayo Shittu
issued the warning yesterday at a round table with representatives of GSM operators
in Nigeria.

The Minister noted that Nigerians have
complained and accused GSM operators in the country of ripping them off,
through some dubious charged.

Mr. Shittu also directs Nigerian Communications
Commission (NCC) to monitor the activities of the operators and ensure they
stop further exploitation of subscribers, especially for services not rendered.
