FG TO HOLD TOWNHALL MEETING ON HERDSMEN/FARMERS CLASH

-           The Minister of Interior, Lt-Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau yesterday stated that the Federal Government (FG) would hold a town hall meeting between herdsmen and farmers to address the persisting crisis between them.

-          A statement by the Press Secretary to the Minister, Osaigbove Ehiseinmen said the meeting would involve stakeholders from various umbrella associations of government, farmers, herdsmen and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

-          Reportedly, other stakeholders expected at the dialogue would be the civil societies, media, professional bodies and humanitarian institutions.

-          The dialogue would provide opportunity for various stakeholders to share views and respond to questions that would arise.
