- Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of the Federal High Court, Lagos has been penalised by the National Judicial Council (NJC).
- She has been ruled out of any possible elevation to a higher court for the rest of her career.
- The NJC took the decision after considering a petition against Justice Rita for misconducts.
- It is alleged that Justice Rita severally adjourned a pre-election matter until the termination of tenure of a party to that case in the Ogun State House of Assembly.
