
- Lagos State govt on Tuesday announced the widening of its tax net to include domestic workers and artisans.
- Mr Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, Chairman of the LAGOS State Internal Revenue Service (IRS) stated this in a news conference in Alausa.
- He said the move was to get tax from workers in the informal sector of the state with domestic workers and artisans remitting one percent of their income as tax.
- He hinted that a directorate has been created within the agency to oversee this set of tax payers.
