- Nigeria and Switzerland have signed a letter of intent for the repatriation of illicit Nigerian assets in Swiss.
- Mr Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the federation signed on behalf of Nigeria while Swiss foreign Affairs Minister , Mr Didier Burkhalter signed on behalf of his country.
- The Swiss minister expresses a desire by his country to help Nigeria fight corruption.
- Part of the targeted loot is the $321million siphoned by Late Sani Abacha.
