NAFDAC DESTROYS FAKE N1BN PRODUCTS

-           The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has destroyed fake and unwholesome products worth over N1 billion in Ogun State.

-          Among the products destroyed are expired voluntarily handed over products by compliant companies in Nigeria.

-          Other products destroyed were fake and counterfeit drugs, prohibited substandard and expired expired food products, cosmetics and other regulated products seized from manufacturers, importers and distributors.

-          While addressing Journalists in a dumpsite in Ogun, NAFDAC Acting Director General, Mrs. Yetunde Oni described fake drugs as economic sabotage and terrorism against public health.
