RETIREES APPEAL TO IMO GOVT. FOR PENSION ARREARS



-           Retired Permanent Secretaries in Imo State have appealed to Governor Rochas Okorocha to pay their outstanding arrears of stipends.

-          The retirees made the appeal via a letter signed by the Secretary of Imo State Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries (ARPS) Comrade F. I. Agba.
-          According to the pensioners, some of them were only paid three months of their accumulated stipends.
-          ARPS leadership stated that pensions and gratuities are first charge on state consolidated revenue fund, taking precedence over any other government expenditure.
