RIFT IN ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CHURCH

-     -      Justice NFN Ntong of AKS High Court No.2 IKot Ekpene, last week disqualified self from hearing a suit involving Assemblies of God Church in Nigeria.

-       -   Suit No. HT/ 7/ 2016 was brought by the registered trustees of the church and five others.

-       -    The group which includes Rev. Emmanuel Udoikpa and other church leaders are alleged to have formed themselves into a break-away faction, seeking recognition by the church.

-      -     The Judge who is also a member of the church disqualified himself from hearing the substantive matter and transferred it to the Honourable Chief Judge of the state.
