- The Senate yesterday discovered that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), allegedly awarded a contract to a firm without equipment, and the job has been abandoned.

NDDC gave LCD Nigeria Limited a contract, to
construct a 28-kilometre road in Imo state.

NDDC awarded the contract in 2011 to the tune of
N6 billion.

Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta,
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi said it was a situation of stealing the Federal
government’s money.
