political thugs allegedly killed two soldiers along waterways in Abonnema,
Akuku Toru LGA of Rivers State.

Reportedly, the suspected thugs opened fire on
the soldiers, killing two, and injuring about five others.

Brigadie- General Stephenson Olabanji, Brigade
Commander 2, confirmed the attack, but insisted that information on casualties
were still awaited.

Olabanji added that the Brigade spokesperson,
Captain Lazarus Eli will issue a statement on the development.
