The
Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has sought the aid of the Independent
Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC) to implement the
cyber crime bill.

NCC Executive Vice Chairman, Prof. Umar Dambatta
made the request when he paid a courtesy visit to the ICPC headquarters in
Abuja.

Umar said the step was in compliance with the
FG’s directive, and in line with standing orders for the operations of the
Anti-corruption and Transparency Monitoring Unit (ACTU).

According to Umar, NCC under his watch
acknowledges the benefit of providing an enabling environment for the
development of ICT.
