NCC PARTNERS ICPC TO CHECK CYBER CRIMES



-           The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has sought the aid of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC) to implement the cyber crime bill.

-          NCC Executive Vice Chairman, Prof. Umar Dambatta made the request when he paid a courtesy visit to the ICPC headquarters in Abuja.
-          Umar said the step was in compliance with the FG’s directive, and in line with standing orders for the operations of the Anti-corruption and Transparency Monitoring Unit (ACTU).
-          According to Umar, NCC under his watch acknowledges the benefit of providing an enabling environment for the development of ICT.
