INFECTION SOURCES UNDER INVESTIGATION – LASG

-             Strange sickness killed 17 children in Otodo- Gbame community of Lagos State.

-              Outbreak confirmed as 34 cases of sick children with Febrile Rash Illnesses (FRI) have been confirmed.

-        Blood samples (and throat swabs) from the patients and water samples from the community taken to the Virology Reference Laboratory at LUTH, DQCK, and LASUTH respectively.

-         Disease causing the outbreak is yet to be confirmed.
