The
National Agency for Food and Drug, Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and
Guiness Nigeria have resolved a court action failed by NAFDAC.

NAFDAC was to pay N1 billion administrative
charges for its failure to adhere to recommended good manufacturing practice
procedures.

Guiness Nigeria PLC confirmed that it has filed
a notice of Discontinuance of the court action instituted against NAFDAC and
the Attorney General of the Federation.

Guiness Nigeria also agreed to pay
administrative and service charges to NAFDAC to cover the cost of the
investigative Inspection of raw materials.
