MTN WITHDRAWS SUIT AGAINST FG

-          The CEO, MTN Nigeria says his company has withdrawn a suit if filed against the federal republic of Nigeria so as to facilitate an out of court settlement.

-          MTN had sued the government for the sanction imposed on them for lateness in deactivating 5.1 million subscribers not properly registered.
-          Out of the N1.4 trillion fine imposed by FG on MTN, the company says it has paid N500 billion.
-          However, NCC’s Director of Public Affairs denies knowledge of the suit’s withdrawal because there was no official communication from MTN.
