• NAVY TO STOP ACTIVITIES OF ILLEGAL REFINERIES IN NIGER DELTA

-          Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas, has restated the readiness of Nigerian Navy to tackle all forms of illegalities, including Oil theft in the Niger Delta.
-          The Naval boss told newsmen that suspects have been arrested in connection with the recent bombing of gas pipeline in Escravos.
-          Admiral Ibas however, decried the increase of illegal refineries and blamed the surge on the inability of the perpetrators to take out the products out of the waterways and creeks.
-          He noted that the navy is standing on the directive of the Chief of Defence Staff, to protect lives and property; explaining that the directive is not for the military alone but for all Nigerians.
