One
hundred aggrieved protests led by some traditional tile holders from Urua Ntia
in Uyo on Saturday protested against the alleged land encroachment by the state
government.

The villagers took to the streets in
protest of some of the fraudulent acts by government officials attached to the
state ministry of lands and town planning which Prince uwem Ita as the
commissioner.

The villagers carried placards which had
various inscriptions

The secretary chief Patrick Archibong
warned the officials to desist from trespassing on their land as the right of
occupancy of the land was not revoked.
