EFCC GIVES DETAILS ON HOW TARFA WAS EXPOSED

 

-          The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has revealed what led to the arrest and arraignment of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Rickey Tarfa, over alleged attempt to pervert the course of justice.

-          Tarfa was arraigned before the court on February 16, on a two-count charge, bordering on alleged willful obstruction of officers of EFCC to carry out their lawful duty.

-          EFCC averred that during the pendency of the proceedings in the said suits, the commission received intelligence report that Tarfa was communicating with Justice Yunusa with a view to get a favourable judgment against the commission.

-          The anti-graft agency stated that based on the intelligence report, it commenced investigation to confirm this report and beamed its searchlight on Tarfa and his chamber.
