JONATHAN, SHETTIMA AND THE CHIBOK GIRLS’ ABDUCTION

-           Governor Kashim Shettima has stated that former President Goodluck Jonathan only called him after 19 days of the abduction of 259 school girls in Borno.

-          About 259 students were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents from their hostel in GSS, Chibok on April 14, 2014.
-          Shettima made the disclosure while receiving former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who arrived the state capital, Maiduguri on a two-day visit.
-          Responding, Chief Obasanjo said the Boko Haram insurgency would soon be forgotten, following the successes recorded by the military against Boko Haram recently.
