Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has apologized to
Nigerians for the fuel crisis, adding that queues in Nigeria’s petrol stations
would disappear by April 7, 2016.

Kachikwu made the U-turn following backlashes
which trailed his comments that the fuel scarcity across the country would
linger till May.

Kachikwu made the disclosure when he appeared
before the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), over the recent fuel
scarcity in Nigeria.

According to him, “By 6th or 7th of April, the
long queues in filling stations would disappear.”
