SCARCITY: CSOs CALL FOR KACHIKWU’S RESIGNATION

-           Civil Society Groups: Civil Society Coalition for Positive Change (CSC) and Stand Up for Nigeria (SUN) have issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu to resign from office.

-          They demanded Kachikwu’s resignation over the prolonged scarcity of fuel which has brought untold hardship to Nigerians.
-          According to the groups, the Minister’s inability to restore normalcy to the current fuel crisis shows his incompetence to manage the situation.
In a joint statement, President and Executive Director of the groups, Comrade Venatius Torkuma and Labake Boboye said Kachikwu has failed to justify his appointment.
