The Lagos State Govt. says it has not
sold the Clementina Ajigbeda Memorial School in the Agege area of the state.
-
The Chairman of the Lagos State
Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Ganiyu Sopeyin, during a visit to the
school on Tuesday, said there was no reason for the govt. to sell the school.
-
The chairman, who was accompanied by
members of the board and top management staff of SUBEB, advised residents and
stakeholders in the school to stop their media campaign and sit with the govt.
for a peaceful resolution of their grievances.
-
A
non-governmental organization, Bethesda Home for the Blind, had been at
loggerheads with the school founder’s family for allegedly dislodging the
original students of the college and taking over the school premises at
Moshalashi bus stop along the Agege Motor Road.
