Hijacker of Egyptian airline diverted to Cyprus
has been arrested, after passengers and crew members escaped unhurt.

Reportedly, the Hijacker claimed to wear an
explosives belt was detained at Larnaca airport where the plane landed.

Egypt’s Prime Minister, Sharif Ismail stated
that the alleged hijacker, an Egyptian demanded to speak to a European Union
representative.

Officials say the incident has no link to “terrorism”,
adding that the hijacker demanded to see a Cypriot woman who allegedly was his
lover.
