Reportedly, except Governor Udom retracts his position against
Julius Berger, the construction company will implement its threat to grounding activities at Government
House.
-
The construction company is allegedly at
loggerheads with Gov. Udom over the state chief executive’s refusal to honour the
agreement with his predecessor as regards the maintenance of the Gov. House
facility.
-
The Govt. House project was the brainchild of
Chief Godswill Akpabio who is now the Minority Leader of the Senate.
-
An agreement was allegedly kept during Akpabio’s
tenure that Julius Berger would ensure the maintenance of the facility, but the
company says Gov Udom has deviated from the original agreement by failing to
pay them in line with the contractual agreement.
CULLED FROM THE INK.
