ISLAMIC STATE (IS) JIHADISTS PULL OUT OF IRAQ’S ANBAR PROVINCE

-          Daesh (IS) has completely pulled out of Rutba towards Al-Quaim, a Major General told AFP.

-          Their withdrawal looks real, consequent upon their losses in Anbar Province and the retaking by security forces of Ramadi.
-          Iraq’s security forces established full control over the city of Ramadi last year after launching a final push against IS.
-          IS have since been securing areas east of Ramadi, which further isolates the Jihadist stronghold of Fallujah, 50 km west of Baghdad.
CULLED FROM THE PIONEER
