MINISTER COMMENDS NASS FOR PASSING 2016 BUDGET

-           Minister for Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma has commended the National Assembly for passing the 2016 budget.

-          Sen. Udoma was particular pleased that the legislature kept the budget within the amount proposed by the executive, especially as there was no increment in the fiscal deficit.

-          Though the Senate passed the budget on Wednesday, there was a complaint from them that some government agencies were omitted from the budget proposal.

-        The budget was reportedly approved after its harmonization by both legislative chambers.
