River women, under the aegis of Women Wing, Association of Akwa-Cross Indigenes
Nigeria, have protested in Lagos.
- - They protested over
the delayed judgment by the Lagos judiciary and abandonment of a housewife in the
mortuary for three years after she was beaten to death by her husband in Lagos.

Addressing
newsmen at the secretariat of the association, in Lawanson, Surulere, Lagos,
recently, the leader of the group, Obonganwan Elizabeth Samson, expressed worry
and annoyance.

She said they
were not allowed entry to the Lagos State Governor’s Office at Alausa, Ikeja,
by the security men last Monday when they went to make their grievances known
to the governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
