The A’Ibom
commissioner for information and communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, has
commiserated with the hierarchy and entire members of Qua Iboe Church, Nigeria
(QICN) on the death of the general Superintendent and Chairman of Conference of
the Church, late Rev. Sunday Dickson Essien JP.

The remains of
the late church leader were interred at his country home, Mkpat Enin, at the
weekend.
- - On a condolence
visit to the executive of QICN at the conference headquarters, No 68 Aka Road, the
commissioner expressed the heartfelt condolences of his family and that of the
management and staff of his Ministry of Information over the irreparable loss
of the disciplined and selfless leader of the QICN.

While praying the good Lord to lead the soul
of the late Essien to eternal rest, Umanah prayed God to grant the bereaved
family and the church the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
