Benue state Governor, Sam Ortom has stated his
government’s commitment to partner with Standards Organisation OF Nigeria (SON)
to ensure agricultural produce from the state are certified for export.

The Governor made the disclosure when SON was
doing its campaign in Makurdi, Benue state.

He added that the registration would boost
export value and help in checkmating rejection of Nigeria’s export produce in
International markets.

Responding, Acting Director- General of SON, Dr.
Paul Angya said the visit was to sensitize the Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprise (MSME) operators on the benefits of deploying standards in their
production and business.
