The
Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reported that one of its fighter aircrafts
prosecuting the war on insurgency has veered off the runway.

Reportedly, the aircraft fell into a ditch while
landing at the Yola airport, and no life was lost in the accident.

In a statement, the Director- General, Air Force
Public Relations and Information, Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa confirmed the
incident.

The incident occurred on Thursday evening, when
the aircraft was returning from a late evening attack in Sambissa forest.
