ANAMBRA STATE RECORDS 2, 000 TUBERCULOSIS CASES- COMMISSIONER



-           The Anambra State Government has revealed that about 2, 000 tuberculosis patients are being treated at different Directly Observed Therapy Centres across the State.

-          Commissioner for Health in the State, Dr. Joe Akabuike made the disclosure at a news conference yesterday in Awka.
-          According to Akabuike, Anambra and 13 other states contribute to the total of about 75% TB infection in Nigeria.
-          The Commissioner who spoke on the theme “Find TB, Treat TB and work Together to Eliminate TB”, added that TB is not caused by voodoo.
