Reports
have it that an average of 72, 000 jobs have been created under the Kaduna
State Government’s School Feeding Programme.

In an interaction with newsmen, Commissioner for
Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Shehu Adamu stated that the scheme was
introduced in January.

He stated that the programme would not only meet
the nutritional needs of the children, but would also empower the people and
enhance their livelihood.

The programme was inaugurated in January by
Governor El-Rufai for 1.8 million pupils in over 4,000 schools and the
programme will be sustained throughout the present administration.
