NSCDC NAB 15 SUSPECTED OIL THIEVES IN CROSS RIVER



-           The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Cross River state yesterday said it has arrested 15 suspected oil thieves between January and March.

-          Report by by the  NSCDC Commandant, Mr. Clement Adeuyi disclosed that the Corps had equally recovered 90 drums of oil from the thieves within the mentioned time.
-          According to Adeuyi, three of the suspects were arrested by the Army and handed over to Corps, while the other 12 were nabbed by officers of the NSCDC at different locations.
-          He acknowledged the importance of solid minerals to government, hence the efforts by NSCDC to ensure their full protection.
