The
Conference for Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) has strongly condemned the
double payment given to ex-governors, ex-deputy governors and others presently
serving as Legislators and Ministers.

Reports say 21politicians are getting salaries
from public purse as Ministers and Legislators, as well as receiving pensions
as ex-governors or ex deputy governors.

CNPP’s displeasure over the development was
contained in a statement jointly signed by its National Chairman, Alhaji
Balarabe Musa, and the Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu.
CNPP urged well meaning Nigerians, the Nigerian
Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress and Civil Society Organisations to oppose
