MBU BEGS BUHARI TO REHABILITATE POLICE COLLEGES

-           The Police Staff College Commandant, Jos, Mr. Joseph Mbu has asked the Federal Government to rehabilitate Police colleges ahead of the massive recruitment in the force.

-          Mbu who is an Assistant Inspector General yesterday told the News Agency of Nigeria that the recruitment would be worthless if better facilities are not provided in training schools.

-          Following President Buhari’s recent approval of recruitment of 10,000 police officers, Mbu stated that Police Colleges are in “utter decay” as hostels, lecture halls and necessary facilities in the colleges are in poor conditions.

-          Mbu decried the inadequate teaching and non-teaching staff in the colleges, saying it remains a major problem.
