AKWA IBOM STATE GOVT. SETS ROAD CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS



-          Governor Udom Emmanuel’s resolve to provide good road network, linking all parts of the state receives boost, as works Commissioner silences critics on performance.

-          Report has that the state government has set high standards for contractors in the state to maintain quality services and stick to operational specifications.
-          Under the specification, minimum standard for dualized roads are 60mm for wearing course, 60mm for asphaltic course against 50mm for single lane roads.
-          The minimum lifespan for the over 20 roads undergoing construction in the state is 25 years.
