Troops of
152 Task Force Battalion and a sector of the Multinational Task Force have
killed about 15 suspected Boko Haram fighters in villages in Borno State.

Reports say the military also rescued 275
hostages and captured six insurgents.

The hostages were rescued during a joint
operation by the troops at Madawaya, Jere, Kardile, Koujili, Ngenere,
Maksamari, Douse, Bembem, Zombulum and Taraji villages.

The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col.
Sani Usman revealed that one of the rescued women was delivered of a baby boy
shortly after the hostages were freed.
