PASSENGER DOCKED FOR ASSAULTING CO-PASSENGER

-           30- year-old Tunde Akinwande has been charged before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly assaulting a female co-passenger.

-          The Prosecutor, Cpol Mary Ajiteru alleged that the accused committed the crime on March 16, when assaulted a female passenger Ronke Owolegbon in a cab they boarded.

-          Ajiteru told the court the Akinwande assaulted the victim around 9:20 pm inside a commercial private car, which caused the victim bodily harm.

-          The accused however pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of assault leveled against him, adding that it was fabricated to undermine his integrity and dignity as a man.
