A’IBOM FORMER COUNCILLORS DEMAND SEVERANCE GRATUITY





-          Councillors who served from 2012-2015 in local Govt. councils across the state on Friday, April 1, 2016 stormed the Govt. House in Uyo, to demand payment of their severance gratuity and backlog of entitlement owed them by the AKSG.

-          The councilors who came out in number were barred by security operatives from entering the Govt. House.
-          They stood a long while at the gate to register their plight to the head of security at the first gate of the Govt. House before they were told that the Gov. is not in town.
-          In an interview newsmen, the leader of the forum Mr. Nkereuwem James said after exhausting their avenues of communication they felt compelled to go out and pay an impromptu visit to the Gov.
