NASS WILL AMEND ELECTORAL ACT TO ACCOMMODATE CARD READERS


-          The electoral act is be amended by the National assembly to accommodate the use of card readers during elections in the country.

-          The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Basic Education, Rep. Zakari Mohammed, made the promise in Ilorin on Monday.
-          He hopes this will tackle the recent observations and pronouncements of the Supreme Court concerning the constitutional relevance of card readers in elections.

-          Stating that lawmakers will work to make the card readers legally binding in order to uphold the electoral reforms introduced in the country.
