NORTH WON’T TOLERATE ANY EXTRIMIST GROUP AGAIN - GOV. ORTOM

-           Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State declared that the North will no longer tolerate any extremist group threatening the peace of the region.

-          Gov. Ortom disclosed this while addressing protesters led by a civil right organization, Conference of Minority Tribe, at the Benue People’s house.

-          The Gov. reiterated government’s commitment to protect the citizens from external attacks.

-          Ortom assured the protesters that government was working against further attacks by Fulani herdsmen, as there was improved security presence in affected areas.

-           Leader of the group, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi accused the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), Shitte Islamic Sect of instigating the killings by Fulani herdsmen.
