The New
Initiative for Credible Leadership (NICL) has urged the Nigerian Export
Promotion Council (NEPC) to be more committed and ensure increase in non-oil export
as solution to the economic hardship caused by the fall in crude oil price.
-
NICL tasked NEPC to appreciate its crucial role
in Nigeria’s economic recovery following the consensus that the country should
no more depend solely on crude oils as its major revenue source.
-
In a statement, NICL noted that the economic
challenge offers NEPC a chance to fulfill its mandate mandate of developing and
diversifying Nigeria’s export trade.
-
In a statement, Rev. Samuel Onwu, Executive Director of NICL affirmed
that NEPC must assist in developing and promoting export oriented industries.
