PRESIDENCY TASKS HoS, NAICOM TO PROTECT GOVERNMENT ASSETS

-           The Presidency has charged the Head of Service to collaborate with the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) to ensure proper protection of government assets.

-          The directive was contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to President Buhari.

-          Reportedly, the Head of Service was urged to coordinate relevant Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Extra Ministerial Departments to ensure strong adherence to the NAICOM Act, 1997.

-          The commission is mandated to ensure adequate protection of government assets and advice government on all insurance related matters.
