- The Director of International Society for Moral Advancement, Prince Emmanuel Akpabio has advocated the scrapping of the third tier of government, the Local Government structure.

Addressing newsmen in his office at Uyo, he
alleged that the third-tier of government, receives from between one hundred to
one hundred and fifty million every month, without adequate accountability.

The Director however frowned at the state and
standard of Education in Akwa Ibom State so far.

He urged the Udom Emmanuel administration to put
its industrial thrust in petrochemicals mostly, lamenting why Akwa Ibom does
not have a refinery.
