There was a heavy shootout on Sunday between
members of the Nigerian army and some suspected cult members in Ubete Community
in Ahoada West L.G.A of Rivers state.

Source account that the shootout began on
Saturday, after soldiers raided some of the criminal hideouts within the area.

The source said the soldiers raided four LGAs in
the state, including Ahoada West, where crime
was believed to have gone to a worried-some level.

The shootout forced residents to stay indoors,
while casualties were not reportedly recorded.
